Tough Questions

I have been asked more than once in the last couple of weeks about my feelings regarding the children that I placed and how I explained to them the children that I chose to raise after them. It is not at all an easy thing to explain, and often the questions are asked in a rather sarcastic tone.

So, I decided to share this post that explains my thoughts on how I deal with this tough issue.

Do you know anyone that had children already and placed the last one? That is my situation. I would love to talk to someone that has been through this, as my 11 year old is giving me a hard time about it. I know it is my decision and best for them all, but I can't get her to understand. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks so much!

Crystal,
I a few women who chose adoption for their children after already raising kids. I have one in particular that used to do a LOT of writing about her trials and tribulations, including the topic that you discuss here. The name of the blog is Not Quite Juno and here is the link to read her brilliance ~ http://notquitejuno.blogspot.com

She is taking a long break right now because she is focusing on her family and the needs close to home, but she does speak from the late in life adoption point of view. You can reach out to her from the blog, I do believe if you look through her info there is an email address. If you cannot find it please contact me again and let me know, then I will get in touch with her and let her know you would like to chat.

Hope that helps, and thanks for visiting my blog! ~ Kelsey
