The Best For You Giveaway...from the Author!

That's right, I have decided that it is time to do a giveaway to all of my readers, and perhaps some new ones, just in time to celebrate Mother's Day.

However, I have to make room for another giveaway, so I will now end this on Sunday, April 18th @ 11:59pm EST. So, I am reposting and inviting you to come and enter and pass along, it has had so many wonderful posts so far!
I wrote The Best For You  as a gift to my adopted children, and once my daughter read it she encouraged me to share it with the world (I think she just may be one of my biggest fans ;) and that is exactly what I did. So, now as the day of all days when we celebrate Mothers comes near, I think it is time that I send it to two lucky readers. Here are the ways to enter and win:

1. Take a moment to read some of the Happy Thoughts series, easy to find in my label section. Come back and leave me a comment on this post and let me know which one you liked.

2. Comment on this post telling me why you would like to win.

3. Become a fan of Kelsey Stewart on Facebook. Come back and comment here that you did so. If you are already a fan, leave me a comment on this post telling me so.

4. Let your friends, family or blog buddies know about the giveaway and have them reference you, and I will add your name once for every person you tell about this.

More ways to win the book:

Become a Blog Follower - 1 entry

Tweet, Blog or FB about this giveaway - 1 entry a day (please leave link of your daily post)

(Remember that all additional entries should be left as separate comments)

This giveaway will end on
Sunday April 18 @ 11:59pm (pst). * New Date!

I became a fan on facebook -- I have been a fan on Adoption Voices for a while now, as you are quite the inspiration!

Your "Happy Thoughts" made me smile and cry - I guess my favorite would be the one about your amazing doctor.... We had such a bond with our special Angel before our child was born, I was perhaps overly sensitive to the way she was treated by attorneys & the social worker. She didn't seem to mind, but I did - they often seemed impersonal and businesslike & I resented their intrusion at the hospital, when she clearly needed to rest....

I want to win because I have already purchased many books about adoption that I am not exactly fond of due to language such as "chosen" (We didn't "choose" our darling son, WE were the ones chosen to receive such a blessing!) or language suggesting that the birthmother didn't have enough love for the child (BS! The choice made was one of an abundance of love and selflessness!!!) ... So... You see my quandry.... I am hoping you finally have the book I've been seeking -- the one I'll want to get for our special Angel, grandparents, other families touched by adoption....

I once thought about having another baby for a co-worker that had been trying to adopt a child for years and had no success. Well finally when I went to her to tell this happy couple that I would have a baby for them they told me NO. I was a little confused at the time but the reason they told me no was because that morning they got the call about a beautiful baby girl they were going to adopt.

Hi! we are adopting a little boy right now, and his b-mom chose adoption because she wanted the best for him. That's exactly what she said, and I would love to be able to have a book like this to read to him!

I have two little ones that I adopted from our County. They are beautiful children and adjusting well. Both the Birth Mother and the children have special needs. We started out in an open adoption and over the years she stopped corresponding. I have alot of unresolved questions and concerns about this and how I will eventually talk about this in the childrens future. I would love to have this book as a resourse for myself and children. I am a fan on the adoptive momma of two.

Hi Kelsey, I am already a fan of yours on facebook.

My husband and I are in the process of adopting two beautiful girls. Their mom asked us if we would adopt the girls because she just could not do it. She is only 23 with no family to back her up and it became to difficult for her. Mom is not in the girls life for reason I do not know. I'm hoping this book will serve as a conversation piece for our family.

Hello I read them all but I will say the post about the birth of your daughter what the nurse said about you making sure to celebrate mothers day and what a wonderful thing you were doing for this couple. Our baby doctor said the same thing to our sons birthmom right before our son was released along with his birthmom from the hospital. We got to bring him home only 24 hours after birth. Yes we were at his birth. I would love to win your book I work with an adoption support group all my books go into the lending library so others may learn and understand. Best wishes and god bless.

I work with both expectant mothers considering adoption and adoptive parents explaining adoption to their children. This would be an awesome resource!

I think reading to Ty is such a great way to promote/share his story. I have several books already, but none from the birth mother's perspective. Would love to get my hands on it! :)

I would love to win because one day when we are finally blessed through adoption, I would love a book like this to read to our child.

I love the Happy Thoughts #7 when you talked to your Bella and she was so happy to be in your wedding. When I read that post (one of the first posts of yours that I read), I realized just how special that first mother/child relationship is and just how wonderful and healthy it can be!

I am a birthmom and a mom. I happened to come across this through facebook. I would love to pass this book onto a man that I work with who has adopted 5 children. I gave my testamony (I work for a christian organization that brings kids to Christ around the world) at work and he approached me afterward. He said that even after adopting his children, he never really thought of a birthmom as a Christian until he heard my story. I would love to give him the tools to talk with his children about their birthmoms. And yes... I became a fan!

I am now a facebook fan! I'm looking forward to all of that.

I read some of the Happy thoughts and it was very happy! And girl you sure have a lot to say!

I'd like to win because I am in the process of adopting and I am a teacher and would like to share it with students who are touched by adoption as well.

Well, first I want to say a big Thank You to all of the entries! SO great to see all of your responses on the different Happy Thoughts or why you would like to win the book. I welcome you all to keep reading, there are so many topics to cover in adoption and it is good to hear all the different sides of the triad.

So, I did this all the old fashion way: Names on paper and into a hat! How's that for futuristic? The truth be told, I have worked with computers long enough to know not to trust them ALWAYS! Here are the winners...

Congratulations to all of you, and yes...there are three winners, not 2. I decided that since there was a nice turn out, I'd throw in an extra one...just because! So, if you see your name or comment number, please shoot me an email thebestforyoubook@gmail.com with your information and I will send it out ASAP.

Keep checking back, or checking blogs on my sidebar for more giveaways, I have been sending out many books and am just so happy to see that there is a need for this view, this voice. I only want to help people understand just a little better how very brave birth mothers really are.

Thank you so much!
Kelsey

I am for my son. He was born in Davenport,Iowa in 1973 AT Mercy Hospital. I was 17, and truly thought it was best for him. Everyday of my life I have wondered and wondered what became of him?? Would be a true miracle to finally find and meet him.
