Starting my OWN List, Wanna Help?

Just read a list of the top adoption blogs and guess what? Most of them were voices that are more than negative and not a ONE that had anything good to say about adoption. What kind of list is that? I am tired of reading about all the nastiness that people have to say about adoption and would love to see a list of people who have GOOD things to say!

Think I will start my own list of Top Bloggers, perhaps this is what I should start working on for a big fat list in 2011 of "Feel Good Blogs in Adoption". Any suggestions for me? Do you know of a blog that is outstanding in their expressions? Let me know, I would love to hear what you have to say!

Hi.. my blog isn't always 100% feel good because adoption has caused me a lot of pain but I do try to look at all sides and have grown a lot in my thinking with the help of blogging. My biggest help in finding peace has been finding my daughter and meeting her and also my volunteer work with MELD. Feel free to check me out and add me.

Birthmomtalks,
I have visited your blog many times and I agree there is a great deal of pain in adoption. I know that one side of adoption is not going to feel the same way as the other sides out there. I would just like to come across a comprehensive list of bloggers in adopiton that CAN see all sides, a blog that does not just bash the whole industry but tries to enlighten others as to what changes can be done to HELP the system.

I know that NO blog about adoption can be Happy and Positive all the time. I would just like to create a list that is mostly upbeat or at least compassionate to the others feelings.

Thank you for throwing your hat into the ring and when I make that list you will definately be on it! Your blog is one of a few that I check every day...it is that good! Thanks for commenting ;)

There is one really good one I follow called "A Birth Mother Voice" that totally rocks :) I think this is a great idea and would love to see a list that represents all sides of adoption. All sides of the triad and all different opinions. I follow a bunch of great blogs that I would like to see take top honors on the list!

Out of curiosity who made the list of top blogs and only included the negative ones?

One that hasn't been listed yet is Statistically Impossible written by a birth father. He talks candidly about adoption and advocates for people to be respectful of others' thoughts and feelings. He's opened my mind about things I didn't know. The url is statisticallyimpossible.blogspot.com

My Arms of Adoption blog (which recently moved) always focus on the positive from the perspective of an adoptee.

Thanks for the kind words. I try to be open to learning and channel my pain in a healthy manner compared to lashing out on people.
